A Downpipe must be used with this turbo, we sell Buzzken and Rawtek downpipes.

  

The CR 170 turbo is the only true "plug and play" turbo for the CR140 TDIs that we have here in the USA.  It's a great upgrade, especially if your stock turbo is blown!  This easy DIY project was discovered and organized by JFettig, a member of the TDIClub.com, you can find a plethora of information about his build and others here  http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=401184

 The 2009 Golf and Jetta require a replacement damper, this can be purchased here

This is a bolt on turbo upgrade other than the EGR cooler which must be deleted due to clearance issues and it is located on the opposite side of the stock CR140 turbo.  

Instructions, this is for off-road use only, you will not be able to pass emissions testing and the car will not be street legal:

-Remove DPF

-Remove oil return line

-Remove oil feed line

-Remove turbo outlet,

-Disconnected all sensors

-Remove the passenger side axle

-Pull all 8 exhaust nuts from the turbo to head studs

-Pull turbo off of the head and lower it through the opening between the subframe and the oil pan

-Now lift the new turbo through that opening and resinstall turbo and all components
